About Croton Youth Lacrosse

What Is Croton Youth Lacrosse?

Croton Youth Lacrosse is a community-run intramural program that introduces young players to the sport of lacrosse. We are not a travel league—all practices and games are held locally at Croton Landing Park in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.

Our program is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through 2nd grade. No prior experience is necessary. Coaches focus on fundamentals—stick skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship—so every child can learn at their own pace in a fun, supportive environment.

Our Approach

We believe every kid deserves the chance to try lacrosse regardless of experience or equipment. Players are grouped by play style, not age or ability:

Sticks & Skills

Non-contact • Girls rules

Focus on stick skills, passing, catching, and game sense.

Full Gear

Contact • Boys rules • No body checking

Stick checking only with full protective equipment.

Players can move between groups at any time once they have the proper gear.

Help Us Grow

Interested in expanding to 3rd grade and beyond? So are we. We need volunteer coaches and parent help to make it happen. Email us at info@crotonlacrosseclub.com if you'd like to get involved.
